Dutch Film Talents to Cannes is your exclusive gateway to the vibrant film industry at SFC Rendez-Vous Industry during Cannes Film Festival 2025, taking place from May 16 to May 21, 2025. Organised by CineSud, the Dutch Film Talents to Cannes program unites the selected participants with filmmakers and industry professionals from all around the world. Furthermore, we help the talents to showcase their work, and spark new creative ideas. Elevate your presence on the international stage, and harness inspiration to fuel your filmmaking journey.
Dutch Film Talents to Cannes 2025
Participation for Dutch Film Talents to Cannes 2025 is open for every new filmmaker from the Netherlands. The selected filmmakers will present themselves and their short film during special events at SFC Rendez-Vous Industry and receive accreditation to visit the Cannes Film Festival and Marché du Film from May 16-May 21, 2025.
Since 2018 the CineSud Dutch Film Talents to Cannes program has been a great success giving new filmmakers the chance to:
- meet & mingle with film professionals from the Netherlands and around the world by attending networking events and group meetings;
- network with key players in the industry;
- learn pitching & networking skills, perfect presentation skills;
- present themselves and their current projects and projects in development to producers, distributors and sellers;
- build new relationships with potential producers/writers/directors/fund representatives etc. for future projects;
- attend the SFC Breakfast, one-on-one (coaching) sessions, masterclasses & workshops at the SFC Rendez-vous Industry.

Every new filmmaker from the Netherlands is invited to apply.
The participation fee (after selection) is €1.000 excluding VAT.
Below you will find a list of requirements:
- Timeframe within which your last short film (max. 25 min) has been made is June 2024 to March 2025 (you can submit with a work-in-progress).
- You have gained experience in the field of film by e.g. finishing a film school and/or made at least one independent short film (films made within contests such as 48 Hour Film Project do not count).
- You have a clear vision on where you are right now in your professional career and your future ambitions & your development as a filmmaker and why this program can be beneficial for you.
- Kick-off meeting on March 13 (15:30-20:00) in Maastricht is obligatory.
Are you a filmmaker from Limburg? The trip might be (partially) sponsored for you by CineSud (contact us before your application).
What do we provide?
Next to the above listed activities and guidance, we will take care of accommodation in Cannes for the duration of the program, one networking breakfast, a kick-off dinner and one networking dinner.
Travel costs are not included.
How to apply?
Send us your submission for Dutch Film Talents to Cannes 2025 via the button below. We will select a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 participants.
Via the button below you will find the application form where we also ask you to send us a viewing-link of your recent short film and a motivation. In this motivation it is important to state your ambitions and targets in Cannes and explain to us why this trip will be valuable for you and your further development as a film professional.
The selected participants will be announced during the Euregion Film Forum 2025 on March 14 in Lumière Cinema Maastricht. Attendance is compulsory. We will inform selected participants end of January 2025.
