Participation for Dutch Film Talents to Clermont-Ferrand 2026 is open for every new filmmaker from the Netherlands.
Dutch Film Talents to Clermont-Ferrand 2026 is a special networking program by CineSud, taking place during the Short Film Market and Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, from February 2–5, 2026. It brings together global film professionals to showcase work, network, raise awareness as filmmakers, and gain inspiration for new projects.
Dutch Film Talents to Clermont-Ferrand offers new filmmakers the chance to:
- Meet & mingle with film professionals from the Netherlands and around the world at networking events, group meetings.
- Learn pitching & networking skills, improve presentation skills.
- Present themselves to international colleagues and industry experts.
- Build new relationships with key industry players and potential co-producers, writers, and directors for future projects.
- Enjoy the festival program and watch new short film competitions at the biggest short film festival there is.
- Attend market events such as masterclasses and workshops.

I want to join the program!
Every new filmmaker from the Netherlands is invited to apply. The participation fee (after selection) is €500 excluding VAT. Travel costs must be covered by the participant.
Below you will find a list of requirements:
- Timeframe within which your last short film (max. 40 min) has been made is February 2024 to January 2026 (you can submit with a work-in-progress).
- You have gained experience in the field by making at least one independent short film (films made within contests such as 48 Hour Film Project do not count).
- You have a clear vision on where you are right now in your professional career, your future ambitions, your development as a filmmaker and why this program can be beneficial for you.
- Attendance at the kick-off meeting including dinner on January 22, 2026 (15:30–21:00) in Heerlen is obligatory.
- Full (active) participation in the program on location in Clermont-Ferrand is obligatory.
Are you a filmmaker from Limburg? The trip might be (partially) sponsored for you by CineSud (contact us before your application).
What do we provide?
Aside from the above listed activities and guidance, accommodation including breakfast in Clermont-Ferrand for the duration of the program and full participation in the festival program (including accreditation) is included in the fee. We also host a professionals dinner where we connect you with key Dutch industry experts.
Selection procedure
For this edition, 3 to 5 filmmakers will be selected to participate in the training and networking program.
This year, CineSud collaborates with CineNord (Friesland–Drenthe–Groningen), Playgrounds NEXT (Noord-brabant) and Oostpact (Gelderland en Overijssel). At least one filmmaker from this region will be chosen, and CineSud will also select one filmmaker from Limburg. For these selected filmmakers, the trip will be sponsored by the respective partner.
The remaining participants may come from any region in the Netherlands. For these filmmakers, the participation fee is €500 (excluding 21% VAT). Travel costs must be covered by the participant.
Travel costs are not included.
