17-19 september organiseert CineSud de zevende editie van SHIFT Film Festival. In de officiële competitie zijn 11 films geselecteerd. Daarnaast gaan 4 korte Limburgse films in voorpremière of speciale vertoning. Het festival vindt dit jaar hybride plaats, met een online programma vol films, masterclasses en talks en op zaterdag 18 september een on-site programma in ECI Cultuurfabriek bestaande uit drie inspirerende filmprogramma's. Door de corona-maatregelen is hier slechts een beperkt bezoekersaantal welkom.
SHIFT Film Festival 2021
Het SHIFT Film Festival 2021 staat net als vorig jaar in het teken van Shifting Distance. Net als vorig jaar zijn we nog veelal met elkaar verbonden via internet of andere (digitale) mogelijkheden. Aan de onzekerheid komt geen eind. CineSud heeft daarom in een vroeg stadium besloten het hoofdprogramma van SHIFT Film Festival ook dit jaar online plaats te laten vinden. Samen met ECI Cultuurfabriek Roermond verzorgen we op 18 september tussen 14.00 en 20.00 uur wel vertoningen van drie filmblokken in het filmtheater. Voor slechts €5 per blok of €10 voor de drie blokken samen kun je genieten van 15 korte films uit binnen- en buitenland. Kom je langs in Roermond? Dan krijg je van ons bovendien een gratis drankje!
Online kun je tussen 17-19 september genieten van een overvol programma bestaande uit talloze masterclasses, CineTalks, Filmmakers Talks en live screenings van Short Film Competition 1 en 2. Je vindt het volledige programma en tickets via onderstaande button.
Official selection
Hieronder vind je een overzicht van de officiële selectie van het festival in de diverse programma's. De definitieve selectie werd gemaakt door onze hoofdprogrammeur Alexandr Gusev (FIPRESCI-journalist). Tijdens het festival maken de films in de Short Film Competition kans op diverse juryprijzen. Naast dat de geselecteerde makers kans maken op diverse juryprijzen, nemen ze gratis deel aan het tweedaagse Bootcamp Shorts Lab. Ook zorgt CineSud voor online netwerkmogelijkheden.
