At the occasion of the seventh edition of the Euregion Film Festival, CineSud organises several masterclasses to help new filmmakers and professionals enhance their skills.
Follow our coaches as they talk on different aspects of filmmaking such as script development, producing and casting, to help you get your project started on solid grounds!
Movie Stars and Their Rights
Together with coach Marina Wijn the filmmakers will learn about casting, labour and copyright laws around actors: what they can and cannot be asked to do for a role, how to handle stunts, extras, child actors, etc. This masterclass will also touch on casting processes and how to find the right fit for your character.
Marina Wijn (Casting Director) graduated in 2002 with a Masters Degree in Theatre Science. Since then, she has worked as a casting director for almost 16 years. During her career she cast over 80 feature films and series (Emmy Award Winner, Anything Goes (2015)). She teaches at acting schools both in The Netherlands and abroad. Marina is a member of the International Casting Directors Network (ICDN), Casting Society of America (CSA) and The European Film Academy.
Practical information
During the masterclass, there will be an ample opportunity to ask the guest speaker questions. The masterclass will take place online via Zoom.
