CineSud Talent Pitch
The CineSud Talent Pitch is a new pitch opportunity specially developed for students and first time filmmakers to support them with their upcoming project. Filmmakers that are selected for the Talent Pitch not only have the chance to pitch their project in front of an international professional jury and receive feedback, they also compete for a chance to win a grant up to € 1.000 for their project.
The CineSud Talent Pitch will be held in English and will take place on Saturday March 16 in Lumière Cinema Maastricht. The dates for the (online) Pitch Training are March 11 and 13, 13.00 - 14.30 CET. Participation in the pitch training is obligatory.

Jor Broeder
Jor Broeder, a visual artist raised in Nijmegen, works interdisciplinary, with film, performance, music, and installation being the most common directions. They are currently finishing their cursus from the Utrecht School of the Arts in the field of audiovisual media. Jor won the Gelders Short Competition for Best Fiction at Go Short 2023 with their first short film A Glimpse of Happiness.

In the Belly of the Beast is an experimental project which aim to explores society's hyperfocus on performance, self-improvement and perfection. The film call to embrace an imperfect animality, often forgotten or hidden but nonetheless at the source of humanity.

Denise de Lange is a 26 year old filmmaker, currently in her final year of St. Joost school of art and design in Breda. Before studying film, she studied graphic design. She made the switch after always finding a way to embed film into her work. In her current work, Denise focuses on themes like family, relationships and positive LGBT representation.

Arthur de Weerdt is a director, writer, and producer from Maastricht. He worked on virtual reality production for Dutch pop musician Glen Faria. As the owner of Muvipro Films, he has brought multiple large-scale music video projects to life over the years. Broken Honor will be Arthur's first fiction short film project.

A skilled fighter and ex-gang member flees from China to seek refuge with his aunt in the Netherlands while battling his traumatic past from his criminal family. When local racist criminals start targeting his aunt's restaurant, he faces a moral dilemma: to give in to violence or to rise above it.
