DROOM Selected for Screen Talent Europe Short Film Showcase 2026

On Friday 13 February 2026, Screen Talent Europe (STE) will host its annual Short Film Showcase in Berlin, bringing together emerging filmmakers, film organisations, and industry professionals from across Europe for an afternoon of screenings and networking. CineSud is proud to be represented in this international program with the short film DROOM, directed by Fleur Jonkers, as a part of Dutch Film Talents to Berlin 2026.

Celebrating new European voices, and you can join!

The Screen Talent Europe Short Film Showcase presents a curated selection of short films developed within the Screen Talent Europe network, of which CineSud is part of. The event highlights new voices in European filmmaking and creates space for exchange between talents, organisations, and professionals working across borders.

The program takes place at Nordische Botschaften in Berlin on Friday February 13 and consists of:

  • 16:00 – 17:30 | Short Film Screening
  • 17:30 – 19:00 | Networking Reception

DROOM – from STEP-UP Academy to Berlin

DROOM, directed by Fleur Jonkers, was developed within CineSud’s STEP-UP Academy 2024, a talent development program supporting emerging filmmakers in the development of their artistic voice and professional practice. Its selection for the STE Short Film Showcase marks an important international step for both the film and its director.

Fleur Jonkers: “I’m incredibly excited to be going to Berlin. Having the opportunity to screen DROOM there is something I’m really looking forward to. Berlin feels like a place with endless room for expression, especially because of its vibrant and expansive creative industry. I’m very curious to see how DROOM will be received there, and I can’t wait to meet and connect with so many other talented creatives.”
